Jordan condemns Israel's approval of settler unites in West Bank
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Sunday denounced Israeli authorities' decision to build more than 780 new settler units in the occupied West Bank and to recognize two additional outposts.
Daifallah Fayez, spokesperson of the Ministry, said that the Israeli decision constitutes a flagrant and serious violation of international law and the pertinent resolutions, foremost of which is the UN Security Council's resolution 2334.
Fayez said that Israel's policies of settlement expansion, expropriation of lands and displacing Palestinians are illegal and condemned. He emphasized that Israel's settlement policies are unilateral, as they undermine peace efforts and prospects of a two-state solution.
He urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and put pressure on Israel to end its 'unilateral' decisions.
