Under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya, chairperson of the board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), a virtual closing ceremony was held on Saturday, marking the end of the Hult Prize competition.
According to a PSUT statement, six teams were shortlisted to represent the university worldwide.
During the ceremony, the princess stressed the importance of the award’s theme for this year, “Food for Good”, as it aimed to provide solutions to problems related to food surplus and managing it in terms of its quality and fair distribution.
The princess also drew attention to challenges facing the global food system and the untapped potential of using smart agriculture.
