Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi met Saturday with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Nayef Al-Hajraf.
During the meeting at GCC headquarters in Riyadh, they discussed preparations for expert committees' meetings to identify cooperation priorities ahead of a meeting of foreign ministers in the context of the Jordanian-Gulf strategic dialogue.
Safadi and the GCC head stressed the need to set clear priorities for the 15 working groups formed by Jordan and the council 'to take the necessary steps to activate cooperation and adopt concrete practical steps.'
They stressed the countries' common interest to institutionalize cooperation for the good of Jordan and the GCC nations and to reflect the close ties between them.
Safadi congratulated Al-Hajraf on the outcomes of the Al-Ula GCC summit, and the reconciliation is achieved, which will contribute to strengthening joint Arab action and serving Arab causes and interests.
Al-Hajraf emphasized the GCC’s keenness to deepen the partnership with Jordan in the various fields.
