The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) in 2020 conducted a total of 503,073 lab tests for 47,296 samples of local and imported food items, JFDA Director General Nizar Mheidat said on Monday.
Pharmaceutical monitoring lab in 2020 had tested 9,421 samples of medicines and medical equipment, Mheidat noted. The director general also said that the food laboratory passed 35 tests for international comparisons, while the medical monitoring lab passed three similar tests for purposes related to quality assurance.
