The Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) on Saturday urged taxpayers to electronically file income tax returns (ITR) for the fiscal year 2020.
In a Saturday statement, the ISTD said that it has updated the tax returns to go hand-in-hand with amendments to the Income Tax Law No. 34 for the year 2014, the department added.
Taxpayers can submit their tax returns starting from the beginning of 2021 until April 30 by accessing ISTD’s online platform www.istd.gov.jo.
The ISTD also called on income taxpayers to fill the ITR forms with factual and correct information reflecting their actual income and their financial activities throughout last year.
