The total foreign aid pledged to Jordan in 2020 by donor countries and financing institutions stood at JD3.73 billion by the end of November, the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation announced on Wednesday.
In a statement, the ministry said that the received foreign aid was distributed into $845 million of development grants, including $523 million of agreed-upon grants to support the General Budget, and $322 million for the implementation of development projects.
'It also included $2.16 billion worth of soft loans, including $1.48 billion to support the General Budget and $685 million to implement development projects,' the statement added.
In addition, the foreign aid was used to support the Jordan Response Plan to the Syrian Crisis (JRP) at value of $725.9 million, distributed on propping up refugees with $203.6 million, implementing projects in host communities with $168.8 million, and providing $353.5 million worth of support through the General Budget.
