The Kingdom on Thursday will remain under the impact of a cold and wet air mass, leading to a drop in temperatures and bringing cold and partly cloudy conditions with scattered rain in the northern and central highlands and parts of the eastern and southwestern regions, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
In the evening, chance for rain will weaken and the weather will stabilize, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD said.
Toward night, the weather will stay cold, with a possibility of fog formation over highlands and the Badia, the JMD noted.
The weather department warned of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain, poor visibility in highlands and the Badia areas due to fog and dust formation, and of frost formation after midnight in the southern Badia regions and the Sharah heights.
The weather on Friday is expected to be cold in much of the Kingdom, and fair in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with low clouds and southeasterly moderate winds.
A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Saturday, but relatively cold weather will persist nationwide.
Daytime temperatures for today in Amman will hover around 14 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 6 at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 21 degrees and lows standing at 11.
