Cold, wet air mass to continue affecting Kingdom today
Jordan on Thursday will remain under the impact of a wet and cold air mass, so the weather will be cold and partly cloudy with scattered rain in various parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
At night, rainfall is expected to taper off, as clouds will decrease and the weather will start to stabilize, the JMD added.
The weather department also warned of slippery roads in the areas experiencing rain and of poor visibility due to fog formation.
On Friday, mercury levels will rise few degrees, but similar cold conditions will continue to persist until Saturday in most regions, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be moderate, with low clouds and westerly to southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD further said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 13 degrees Celsius in Amman, 10 in the northern cities and 9 in the southern highlands, dropping down at night to 9, 6 and 5C respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 24 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 15 degrees at night.
