The Ministry of Health on Wednesday announced the pricing list for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in private hospitals.
In a statement, the ministry set the price of accommodating a coronavirus patient at JD225 for a first class regular isolation room, JD140 dinars for a regular isolation room in a regular isolation floor, and JD200 for a child, with their adult companion, in an isolation room, and JD150 for a child in an isolation room, without an adult companion.
The pricing also includes JD300 for an average room, with around the clock monitoring and an endotracheal tube for treatment, while an additional 20 percent will be added for ICU patients with around the clock monitoring, the statement added.
The ministry pointed out that the pricing includes accommodation, hotel services, medical supervision, nursing fees, diagnostic tests, PET scans, and consulting a psychiatrist, if necessary, in addition to immunity-boosting drugs, medical supplies and treatment of symptoms associated with the virus.
The ministry indicated that the cost of treatment according to this pricing applies throughout the duration of the patient's stay at the hospital, but does not include the treatment of other chronic illnesses.
