Unstable conditions are tipped to hit the Kingdom on Saturday and downpour is forecast in the northern, central and eastern regions and limited areas of the southern regions, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Saturday rainfall may be often heavy and thundery, as hail is forecast to hit some areas, which leads to the formation of torrents in valleys and low-lying areas, the JMD added.
According to the report, the rain chances weaken during night hours, and the weather starts to stabilize, with easterly winds, turning into northwesterly moderate, it noted.
On Sunday, a slight rise in temperatures is forecast, however the weather will remain relatively cold almost nationwide, and fair in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with westerly moderate winds, the JMD said.
In Amman today, mercury will hover around 12 Celsius degrees, dropping to 7C during night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 24C, sliding into 13C during night hours.
