Cities and Villages Development Bank participates in global finance summit
The Cities and Villages Development Bank has recently taken part in the 'Finance in Common Summit' - part of the third edition of the Paris Peace Forum - which saw the participation of representatives from multilateral development banks, who explored pathways towards economic and social recovery while redoubling efforts to achieve the SDGs and the Paris Agreement on climate change.
In a statement Sunday, the Cities and Villages Development Bank said that the online summit was the first global gathering of all public development banks, underlining their commitment to supporting global economic transformation toward sustainable and resilient development.
The banks issued a joint declaration pledging to increase their focus on the climate emergency and committed to aligning their activities with the objectives of the Paris Agreement' and to supporting Nationally Determined Contributions and long-term strategies to reach zero net emissions as early as possible.
