Sharkas: Health ministry seeks to pre-reserve more COVID-19 vaccines
The deputy general-secretary for health care, Ghazi Sharkas, affirmed that Jordan constantly seeks to obtain more COVID-19 vaccines when it is produced as countries compete to pre-reserve the vaccine.
Sharkas said to Ammonnews that Jordan will pre-reserve the largest possible quantity of the vaccine, indicating that the World Health Organization will help in 10% of the vaccine that will reach Jordan.
Jordan has not considered the price of the vaccine or any other financial matters as the health of citizens is top-priority. He added.
He also explained that the Health ministry will test the antibodies through taking blood samples from people randomly to figure out the exact percentage of vaccine that Jordan needs to eliminate the epidemic entirely.
