His Majesty King Abdullah has sent a cable to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the announcement of the independence of the State of Palestine.
In the cable, King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan's commitment to continue working with the Palestinian people towards the establishment of the independent and sovereign Palestinian state, on the 4 June 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, and in accordance with international law, relevant UN resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative, to achieve just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
His Majesty stressed support for all cooperation and coordination efforts between Jordan and Palestine, and keenness to bolster the deep-rooted brotherly ties, to serve the shared interests of the two peoples.
