Capacity of some military hospitals to be enhanced to deal with Covid-19 pandemic
AMMONNEWS - Upon royal directives, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti, on Sunday instructed the Royal Medical Services (RMS) to reinforce Prince Hashem Hospital in Zarqa Governorate and Prince Rashid Hospital in Irbid Governorate with caravans to increase their capacity, supplied with a specialized medical cadre to deal with the coronavirus crisis.
During his visit to the RMS Directorate, Hneiti also instructed to supply both hospitals with a field hospital equipped with the most advanced medical equipment to enhance their capabilities to deal with the pandemic, in addition to providing all areas of the Kingdom with caravans to collect samples to save time and effort and increase the number of daily Covid-19 tests carried out by epidemiological investigation teams.
RMS Director General Brig. Gen. Adel Wahadneh and relevant stakeholders briefed Hneiti on the details of the coronavirus crisis, how to deal with it, and future plans to confront it.
Maj. Gen. Hneiti underlined that the RMS is one of the nation's institutions and a key part of the Jordanian health sector, lauding its satff great efforts during this crisis, and its distinguished level in providing treatment to patients from inside and outside the Kingdom.
Wahadneh said the RMS with all its hospitals and comprehensive medical centers are at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness, to enhance medical services provided to patients and visitors to address the Covid-19 crisis, adding that the RMS has dealt with a large number of cases of different severity since the beginning of the crisis.
