Expert committee formed to assess the Kingdom's epidemiological situation
AMMONNEWS - Minister of Health, Dr. Nazir Obeidat, has decided on Wednesday, to form an ad hoc committee to assess the Kingdom's epidemiological situation and future Covid-19 scenarios.
Speaking to 'Petra,' Assistant Secretary-General for Primary Health Care, Dr. Ghazi Sharkas, said the 8-strong panel aims to participate in preparing and submitting relevant recommendations to the Epidemiological Committee.
Headed by the former health minister, Sa'ad Kharabsheh, the panel is comprised of a number of epidemics and infectious diseases experts from the Kingdom's various medical sectors, he pointed out.
The panel will follow up on analyzing data related to the Covid-19 file, study the epidemiological variables, the infectivity, death rates, and accordingly recommend that the necessary executive decisions be taken on the ground, according to Sharkas.
