Upon royal directives, boy who was attacked in Zarqa transferred to RMS
AMMONNEWS - Upon directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yusef Huneiti, on Wednesday gave instructions to the Royal Medical Services (RMS) Directorate to transfer the boy who was attacked yesterday in the eastern city of Zarqa, to receive treatment at King Hussein Medical Centre (KHMC).
RMS Director Brig. Gen. Adel Wahadneh said a medical team that contains all necessary specializations was formed to follow up on the boy's condition, including ophthalmologists, orthopedists, plastic surgery and psychological rehabilitation, in addition to prosthetics.
The director of Queen Rania Al Abdullah Hospital for Children stated that the hospital provided the primary medical care that the injured boy needed, adding that his general condition was stable and needed medical follow-up.
The boy's, family, in turn, expressed appreciation for the royal directives and the RMS's efforts, including doctors and nursing staff.
The boy was a victim of a cruel attack by a group of people in Zarqa, which has drawn wide public outrage and calls for ensuring the perpetrators receive the maximum punishment enshrined by the law.
