IEC calls on international observers to apply for upcoming polls
AMMONNEWS - The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday announced that international observers can apply for accreditation to monitor elections of the 19th Parliament, slated for November 10.
In a statement, the IEC said that it approves international observers in accordance with the Executive Instructions No. 4 of 2016 on the Accreditation of International Observers published on the commission's official website www.iec.jo. Applications can be submitted via the official website as of Sunday August 16 and until Tuesday October 20, it added.
The Commission called on all international bodies and organizations that meet its conditions to visit the website, fill out the accreditation forms, and sign the International Observer Code of Conduct, stressing that observers must not be members of more than one international monitoring mission.
