Himmat Watan Fund to support NAF with JD27 million
AMMONNEWS - The Himmat Watan Fund will pay JD27 million to the National Aid Fund (NAF) as a third and final payment to support families affected by the coronavirus crisis, after adding new beneficiaries to the program.
In a statement, Himmat Watan Fund Deputy Chairman, Jamal Sarayrah, on Sunday said that the Fund is still covering the expenses of the return of Jordanians stranded abroad who can not afford such expenses.
According to Sarayrah, the Fund's management committee praised the government measures to successfully control the spread of the virus, voicing hope that economic life will soon return to normal while taking precautionary measures to protect Jordan from any new wave of infection.
He also commended those who have contributed to the fund, urging others who have not donated to make contributions to alleviate the humanitarian, social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
