209 restaurants to reopen for takeaway, delivery services
AMMONNEWS - A total of 209 restaurants have completed the regulatory conditions stipulated in the delivery.mota.jo platform to provide food services, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced on Sunday.
In a statement, the ministry said that permitted tourist, sweets and popular restaurants are allowed to operate starting from today, by offering food delivery or pick-up services between 8am and 6pm while taking into account the health and procedural requirements.
'All restaurants that have completed the conditions have been inspected by a joint committee formed by the ministries of Tourism, Health and Labour and the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, and have been granted official permits from the inspection teams,' the statement added.
A total of 3,521 restaurants have applied through the ministry’s platform to provide food services, of which only 559 have completed the regulatory conditions.
