AMMONNEWS - A tangible in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, bringing cold and partly cloudy weather conditions nationwide, with rainfall that may turn heavy accompanied by thunder and hail in some areas at times, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
The department warns public of floods formation in valleys and low-lying areas, and of slippery roads.
Thursday is expected to bring in similar cold conditions, with light and scattered rain in the northern and western parts of the Kingdom, the JMD said.
Mercury levels will rise again on Friday, causing relatively warm conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead sea and Aqaba, while it will remain cold in the rest of the regions with a possibility of showers in the late night hours in the northern and central areas, the JMD further added.
Maximum temperatures expected for today will reach a high of 12 degrees Celsius in the capital, 9 in the northern governorates and 10 in the southern cities, dropping down to 7, 5 and 4 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 20 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 12, the JMD noted.
