AMMONNEWS - Civil Defence crews in Tafileh on Saturday rescued 16 people who were stranded in their farms by flash floods resulting from heavy downpours that swept the southern region.
The Civil Defence said in a statement that rescue teams evacuated those affected and evacuated them to safety, and that they were in good condition.
Also in the south, highway patrol officers rescued a five-member family who were trapped inside their vehicle in a road in Mojib near Karak, which was struck by landslides triggered by rising water levels.
