Unstable weather conditions forecast to bring rain
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday, becoming 3-4 degrees above their annual average and creating relatively hot weather nationwide, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
In the afternoon, clouds will start to build up in the southern parts of the country extending to other areas with rain showers accompanied by thunder at times, while winds will be easterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the Badia regions, the JMD said.
The Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions on Monday, bringing cloudy skies with rain in various parts of the country that might turn heavy and accompanied by thunder and lightning at times, causing floods in valleys and lowlands. Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the desert areas, the JMD added.
On Tuesday, the Kingdom will remain under the impact of the unstable conditions with clouds at various altitudes and rain showers across the country. Heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is also expected, causing floods in valleys and lowlands. Winds will be southeasterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the Badia regions, the department noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 32 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 20 and 22 degrees respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 38 degrees and lows standing at 27 at night, the JMD further said.
