PM urges concern authorities to work intensively to facilitate return of students to schools
AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz announced that the ministerial team entrusted with following up on the teachers' strike is discussing with the Jordan Teachers Association's council specific numbers that will be directly reflected on teachers' salaries in all their classifications.
In a statement aired on Jordan TV, Razzaz said the sums of cash that are being discussed with the council, will not be according to the current mechanism, adding that teachers' wages and raises will be connected to the development of their performance.
The government, Razzaz added, and the council have to put public interest above all else and serve the students, voicing hope that there will be no strike next week.
