Police warn of purchasing counterfeit watches on streets
AMMONNEWS - Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Sunday warned citizens, visitors and residents in the Kingdom of purchasing counterfeit watches from street vendors.
The Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson said the CID has recently received many complaints from people who have been scammed by purchasing allegedly genuine watches with large sums of money while on streets, only to discover that they are counterfeit and not worth the money paid.
The CID also warned of dealing with these vendors who offer expensive goods at prices below the market price in the streets.
It called on checking these goods before purchasing them with approved shops to examine these types or brands so that they do not fall victim to such fraudulent methods.
It also called on reporting these vendors immediately to the nearest police station or by calling 911.
