AMMONNEWS - Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Muthanna Gharaibeh on Thursday discussed with Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Fuad Hussein, economic cooperation between the two counties and the importance of exchanging expertise in the digital economy and electronic payment fields.
The meeting was part of Gharaibeh's visit to Iraq, who headed a delegation of 30 Jordanian companies to participate in the Jordanian-Iraqi Forum on digital transformation in the financial sector, in an effort to reach the Iraqi market.
The forum was organized as part of the partnership between the Jordan-Iraq Economic Association, the Iraqi Private Banks League and the Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (int@j).
During the meeting, which was attended by the Jordanian ambassador to Baghdad Montasser Al-Oqla, Gharaibeh noted Jordanian companies' capabilities in digital transformation and electronic payment domains, stressing Jordan's readiness to provide its expertise and potentials to Iraqi side
He also reviewed the investment opportunities in Jordan, mainly in information technology, communication and economic sectors, stressing that many facilities are provided to Iraqi investors in the Kingdom.
The Jordanian minister also called for providing Jordanian companies with needed facilities to enter the Iraqi market to enable them to form partnerships with public and private institutions and companies in Iraq in various fields.
