Central bank sets cap for e-transfer fee within Kingdom
AMMONNEWS - The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Sunday issued instructions to banks operating in the Kingdom setting a ceiling for the fee they collect for e-transfers conducted inside the Kingdom whether under the RTGS or AACH systems.
In a statement, the CBJ said that the new instructions give preferential fee rates to e-transfers compared to over-the-counter transfers. It said the move is part of the bank's broader drive to encourage the more safe and secure e-banking solutions and push towards greater digitization of the economy.
