Spring conditions forecast Monday ahead of cold, rain over two days
AMMONNEWS - Spring-like conditions will prevail Monday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be warm in the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley with clouds at various altitudes, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief.
Scattered showers are also expected in different areas that may turn heavier accompanied by thunder at night in the central and northern regions, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the Badia areas, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will hover around 20 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 11, 12 and 4 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 32 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 19 degrees at night, the JMD said.
Cold conditions are expected to start affecting the country over the next two days, pushing mercury 3-4 degrees below their annual average and bringing relatively cold and cloudy weather with rain across the country. Rain accompanied by thunder is also forecast in the northern and central regions, while winds will be westerly to southwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust in the desert, the department noted.
