Senate president delivers King’s letter to Saudi monarch
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II sent a letter to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud of Saudi Arabia, on Thursday underscoring his pride in the brotherly and historical ties between the two countries and their peoples.
In his letter, delivered by Senate President Faisal Fayez, King Abdullah expressed keenness to continue coordination and consultation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia on issues of mutual interest, in a way that would boost the joint Arab action.
The King pointed to the volatile circumstances the Arab nation is currently experiencing, which require working side by side to preserve the nation's interests and serve its just causes.
He also lauded King Salman's efforts to achieve progress and prosperity for the Saudi people, as well as the efforts he exerts to enhance the process of Arab and Islamic solidarity.
King Abdullah expressed gratitude, on behalf of the Kingdom, its government and people, to King Salman's supportive stances of Jordan, wishing him continued good health, and the Saudi people further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.
During his meeting with Fayez, the Saudi King expressed keenness to enhance bilateral relations in all fields to best serve the two countries common interests.
The Saudi monarch commended King Abdullah's role in developing and boosting bilateral ties, adding 'Jordan's security and stability is Saudi Arabia's security and stability'.
Fayez pointed to the deep brotherly and historical bilateral relations, noting that they are based on mutual respect, in a way that best serves the two countries interests and the Arab nation's causes.
He lauded King Salman's supportive stance of Jordan, especially through the difficult economic situation the Kingdom is facing as a result of regional instability.
