Spring-like warmth forecast during daytime, cold at night
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected Wednesday, bringing spring conditions in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be relatively warm in the Jordan Valley and Dead sea with clouds at different altitudes, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
At night, the country will be affected by unstable weather conditions, creating partly cloudy weather with a chance for scattered rain in various regions accompanied by hail and thunder. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the desert, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern and southern cities will reach 18 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 10, 12 and 8 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 27 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 18 degrees at night.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected over the next two days, but the Kingdom will continue to be under the impact of the unstable conditions, with scattered showers accompanied by hail and thunder at times, mainly in the northern and eastern regions. Winds will be southeasterly to southwesterly moderate picking up and stirring dust in the Badia regions, the department further said.
Starting Friday night, the weather will start to stabilize but with increased humidity, causing fog formation in many parts of the Kingdom, the JMD noted.
