AMMONNEWS - Senate President, Faisal Fayez, said protection of the homeland requires everyone's effort to strengthen national unity, adding ' it is necessary to unite all to counter any solutions of the Palestinian cause at the expense of Jordan and its national identity'.
At the beginning of the Senate's session on Thursday, Fayez highly valued the 'valiant and firm' positions of His Majesty King Abdullah II, with regard to Jerusalem and its holy sites, the Palestinian issue and our nation's just causes.
Fayez said: 'the Senate will always support the King's efforts and stances strongly in every step he takes.'
He rejected attempts to tamper with the Kingdom's social fabric and its future without taking into consideration the national interest, simultaneous with projects targeting the Palestinian cause.
These attempts, he said, eye to weaken our internal front, accept the so-called 'deal of the century', and abandon the protection of Islamic and Christian sites in Jerusalem.
These rumors, he noted, do not serve the national unity, but serve enemies of the homeland, and is in the interest of those who seek to solve the Palestinian issue at the expense of Jordan.
Jordan is Jordan and Palestine is Palestine, which its cause will remain our top priority. We did not compromise on it, and we will not compromise, no matter how costly the price is, as the King stressed in his rejection of the alternative homeland, he pointed out.
