AMMONNEWS - Warm weather conditions are expected to prevail nationwide early on Thursday, but unstable weather conditions will start affecting the country in the afternoon, creating partly cloudy skies with a chance for rain accompanied by thunder, especially in the eastern regions, according to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) .
Heavy rain is forecast in the eastern regions with possible floods while winds will be southeasterly moderate, the department said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 21 degrees Celsius, 22 degrees in the northern cities and 20 in the southern cities, dropping down to 10, 12 and 9 respectively at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 30 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 17, the JMD explained.
Unstable weather conditions will continue on Friday, but it will be warm with partly cloudy skies and a chance for scattered showers that might cause floods in the eastern regions.
Pleasant weather will prevail on Saturday across the country with clouds at different altitudes and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD said.
