Prime Minister receives Assistant US Secretary of State
AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz met with U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs David Satterfield and an accompanying delegation on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister discussed with Satterfield Jordanian-U.S. relations and means of enhancing them in various fields, in addition to the latest developments in the Middle East.
They reviewed the outcome of the London Initiative 2019 conference held last week to support economic development in Jordan. The Prime Minister stressed that Jordan will continue to focus on increasing economic growth, creating jobs and attracting investments.
Razzaz also emphasized that the government will work to follow up the outcome of the London Initiative Conference to ensure it will achieve its intended purpose of supporting the Jordanian economy.
Satterfield said the United States will further support Jordan to continue its important role at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was attended by the Charge d'Affaires of the US Embassy in Amman and the Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
