AMMONNEWS - Cold and partly cloudy weather conditions are expected to prevail Monday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Clouds are expected to appear at low altitudes, bringing scattered showers at the northern regions, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust in the desert.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 13 degrees Celsius, 15 in the northern cities and 12 in southern governorates, dropping down at night to 5, 8 and 3 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 11 degrees at night, the JMD said.
On Tuesday, unstable weather is forecast with clouds at various altitudes and nationwide rainfall that might be heavy at times accompanied by hail and thunder and forming floods in the low lands. Winds will be southeasterly to northwesterly moderate at night.
Temperatures will rise few degrees on Wednesday, but the weather will stay cold in most parts of the country and pleasant in Aqaba and the Jordan Valley, the JMD added further.
