AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Saturday, but it will remain cold and partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers mainly in the northern and central parts of the country, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said in its daily brief.
Chilly conditions will prevail at night, with rain and heavy clouds on the mountainous areas, it added.
Temperatures are expected to rise few degrees over the next two days, but cold conditions will continue in most regions with clouds with southwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach11 degrees Celsius, 12 in the northern cites and 10 in the southern cities dropping down to 5, 7 and 3 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 23 and lows dropping to 15 at night, the JMD added further.
