AMMONNEWS - The Lower House's Palestine Committee on Tuesday discussed issues related to Gazans in Jordan at a meeting chaired by its head, MP Yahya Saud.
'The committee has discussed abolishing the family reference number and the white card for Gazan families and allowing them to own property regardless of its status, rather than restricting these to residential land,' Saud said.
He pointed out that Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Raed Adwan, has informed the committee of the decision to abolish the family reference number for Gazans in Jordan so that they can own residential apartments and lands.
Adwan also promised to inform the concerned parties of requests to repeal or amend the basis of conferring the white card so that ad hoc committees can study them, highlighting the commitment of the ministry and its affiliate institutions to remove obstacles facing Gazans in the Kingdom.
