Cabinet endorses memorandum with French development agency
AMMONNEWS - The Cabinet on Monday approved a fourth memorandum of understanding with the French Agency for Development (AFD) for the period 2019-2022, which aims to provide a one-billion-euro package financing package.
The package would provide finance to water, sanitation, solid waste, transport, urban and local development and energy projects, as well as governance and vocational training.
Also during a meeting chaired by acting Prime Minister Dr. Walid Maani, the Cabinet endorsed a memorandum of understanding between local public education agencies and the United Kingdom to support cooperation between the two countries in the field of human resources in line with the National Strategy for Human Resources Development 2016-2025.
The Cabinet also agreed to exchange notes with the Japanese government on a $4.5 million grant to Jordan to strengthen its civil defense capabilities within the Kingdom's economic and social development program.
