AMMONNEWS - Jordan stated that it has received a call from the United Nations to host a meeting between the Yemeni government and Houthi rebels.
Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi made the comments at a joint press conference with visiting Yemeni counterpart Khaled Al Yamani.
'The UN Yemen Mission is based in Jordan and we received a request today from UN Envoy on Yemen Martin Griffiths to host a meeting in Jordan,' Safadi emphasized.
'Jordan will look into the request as soon as possible in line with our clear stand that supports all efforts that would help lead to resolving the Yemeni crisis in line with clear references leading to ending the suffering of the Yemenis,' stated the minister.
