Cold weather forecast Saturday, milder over next two days


AMMONNEWS - Temperatures will slightly on Saturday returning to their annual average and bringing back relatively cold weather across many parts of the Kingdom, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD), clouds at low altitudes with scattered showers are expected early in the morning with westerly moderate to brisk winds mainly in the eastern areas.

Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 17 degrees Celsius, 16 in the northern cities and 13 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 9, 10 and 7 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees and lows standing at 17, the JMD said.

A slight rise in mercury levels is forecast on Sunday, creating milder conditions across the country with clouds at high altitudes and southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
Similar weather conditions will continue on Monday, but with a chance for scattered rain in the eastern, northern and central parts of the country and southeasterly light to moderate winds, the JMD added.
