Woman accusing Saad Lamjarred of rape reacts to French judicial decision
AMMONNEWS - Frenchwoman Laura Prioul who had accused Moroccan singer Saad Lamjarred of rape voiced her joy that the French judiciary ordered detaining Lamjarred over the recent rape case made against him.
On Tuesday, a French court of appeals jailed Lamjarred, who was arrested in late August in France pending investigations, after it turned over a decision to place him under judicial supervision.
“Thank you to all those using the hashtag ‘won’t be silent’ and to those who boycott (him) and for the messages of support and finally justice,” Prioul wrote on Twitter.
After the decision to jail Lamjarred was made, the hashtag “won’t be silent” emerged on Twitter. Moroccan activists called for no longer airing Lamjarred’s songs and to expose all the rape crimes he’s committed in Morocco.
Prioul accused Lamjarred of rape and assault in Paris around two years ago, and the French judiciary is still looking into the case.
