Jordanian Airport International Group strikes major acquisition deal with French firm
AMMONNEWS - French airport operator Groupe Aeroports de Paris (ADP) was confirmed to have now acquired 51 percent of stake in the Jordanian Airport International Group.
The rest of the stakes in the Jordanian group were said to have now been owned by Meridiam Eastern Europe Investments with 32 percent, Mena Airport Holding Ltd. with 12.25 percent and the remaining 4.75 percent for Edgo Investment Holdings Ltd.
The agreement was explained by Jordanian Minister of Transport and Municipal Affairs Walid Masri to have been driven by cooperation and major efforts along with receiving the support of the official security bodies.
Muhannad Shehadeh, Jordan's Minister of State for Investment Affairs, also commented on the deal 'what we have today goes beyond a simple buy-and-sell agreement as it carries a strong message that the kingdom can be an investment destination and a trusted stronghold for the most important foreign investments.'
