'Tax decision valid after publication in official gazette'
AMMONNEWS - The Income and Sales Tax Department said Tuesday that a Council of Ministers' decision to adjust the tax rate on a number of commodities has not yet taken effect.
The department told Petra that the modification of tax rates will become valid the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
The Official Gazette is issued twice a month, on the first and 16th of each month.
The cabinet yesterday announced a set of economic measures, including lifting subsidies and canceling tax exemptions.
