Hot conditions forecast Thursday, in temps over weekend
AMMONNEWS - Relatively hot weather is expected to prevail Thursday in the hilly areas and the eastern plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be southwesterly brisk winds, blowing dust at times mainly in the southern and eastern regions causing low horizontal visibility.
Temperatures will on Friday with a high humidity and strong winds with speed reaching 60-70 km/h. Therefore, it will be moderate in the mountainous areas and relatively hot in other regions . Westerly brisk winds are also forecast, raising dust at times in much of the country, the JMD noted.
A further tangible in mercury levels is forecast on Saturday becoming 5-6 degrees below annual average. Therefore it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with light showers during day hours in the central and northern parts of the country. Winds will intensify, picking up speeds of 65-75 km/h and blowing dust at times, the JMD said.
Maximum temperatures expected for today in most parts of the country will range between a high of 31 degrees Celsius and a low of 20 degrees, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will jump to 41 degrees dropping to 28 at night.
