Senate president congratulates Christians on Easter
AMMONNEWS - Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez Sunday wished Jordanian Christians a 'happy Easter'.
During a visit to the Roman Orthodox diocese, accompanied by a number of senators, and meeting with heads of churches in the Kingdom, Al-Fayez voiced pride in the Muslim-Christian national unity and co-existence, saying Christianity is an essential component of Jordanian society.
He said Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, is a secure and stable country, despite unstable circumstances the Arab nation is going through.
Al-Fayez condemned recent attacks on churches in Egypt, and said terrorism has no religion, voicing Jordan supportive stances with the Christians.
