AMMONNEWS - The remains of three Jordanian soldiers, who fell in Jerusalem during the 1967 war, were given full military funerals and laid to rest at an army cemetery southeast of Amman.
The remains of the three fallen servicemen, found during excavation works in the occupied East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Bahir, were brought home Wednesday dawn after 50 years of their sacrifice.
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mahmoud Friehat, who deputized for His Majesty the King, the directors of security agencies, lawmakers and senators and military and civic officials attended the funerals.
Sulieman Mousa al-Muteryeen was the only martyr of the three to be identified through his military metal tag. The army chief presented the national flag to his family in recognition of his sacrifice.
