Cold snap continues with frost formation overnight
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday, but they remain 2-3 degrees below their seasonal average; therefore it will continue to be cold in the hilly areas, the desert regions and the eastern plains, while it will be relatively cold in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
According to Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD), similar weather conditions will also prevail on Tuesday with southeasterly moderate winds.
Temperatures are forecast to further plummet at night during these two days, forming frost in most parts of the country, the JMD said.
Temperatures forecast for today in the capital and the northern regions will range between a high of 12 degrees Celsius and a low of 2, in the southern parts they will register 9 degrees during the day, dipping to minus two at night. Daytime temperatures in the Gulf of Aqaba will reach 22 degrees Celsius, sliding to 9 degrees at night, the JMD explained.
