Cold conditions with temps plummet below zero at night
AMMONNEWS - A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Saturday, but they remain 4-5 degrees below their annual average, bringing cold conditions across the Kingdom.
According to Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD), temperatures will further at night, forming frost in most parts of the country.
Daytime temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach 10 degrees Celsius, dropping to zero at night, in the southern regions they will range between a high of 7 degrees and a low of minus two. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will register a high of 18 degrees and a low of 8 at night, the JMD explained.
Another rise in temperatures is also expected over the next two days, but similar cold conditions will continue to prevail across the Kingdom with southeasterly moderate winds.
Frost formation is also forecast overnight in the hilly areas, the desert regions and eastern plains as well as parts of the Northern Jordan Valley, the JMD added.
