King receives cables on anniversary of assumption of powers
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah II Tuesday received cables of good wishes from senior civic and military officials as the Kingdom marks the 18th anniversary of his assumption of his constitutional powers.
The officials expressed their allegiance to the Hashemite Throne and voiced their pride in the King's leadership on the day he took over the reigns to pursue the efforts of his forefathers and forge ahead with the march for progress to achieve a safe and prosperous future for the country and its people despite the challenges the region is passing through.
In the cables, which came from the prime minister, the parliament speakers, the heads of security agencies and other top-ranking officials, they noted the national achievements under the King's leadership that turned Jordan into an oasis of security and stability and a role model that all Jordanians are proud of.
They said that as the country celebrates the occasion, Jordanians stand solidly behind their leadership in the national building and development process and in making the present and future of a strong Jordan.
They noted the King's efforts in defending Arab and Islamic causes at global forums and highlighting the true bright image of Islam as well as his leading role in the fight against the forces of darkness, extremism and terrorism.
