Anani conveys King's invitation to Djibouti president to attend Arab summit
AMMONNEWS - President of Djibouti, Ismail Omar Guelleh, on Monday, received Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Investment, Jawad Anani.
Anani handed president Guelleh a letter from His Majesty King Abdullah II that included an invitation to attend the Arab Summit that will be hosted by Jordan in March.
During the meeting, Anani also conveyed His Majesty's greetings to the Djiboutian President, who said he will attend in the summit.
President Guelleh commended Jordan's achievements, under the leadership of King Abdullah, and its role in achieving security and stability in the region.
The meeting dealt with relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them in various fields, where the Djiboutian President said his country is keen on developing economic cooperation between the two countries, calling on Jordanian businessmen to invest in Djibouti in order to be a logistics center to enter East African markets.
Anani also met with Djibouti's Minister of Economy and Finance Ilyas Moussa Dawaleh, and stressed keenness to promote trade, investment and logistics relations between the two countries and sign agreements that would activate cooperation.
Anani visited the new port of Djibouti, which will be opened soon, and also visited the Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway.
