Cold conditions with frost formation forecast over next two days
AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is forecast on Monday and Tuesday, therefore it will continue to be cold and partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in the capital, the northern and southern regions will reach 10 degrees Celsius, while in the Gulf of Aqaba they will jump to 16 degrees, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) daily brief said.
Temperatures will after midnight, reaching 4 degrees in Amman and dipping to1 degree in the southern regions; the JMD added, while warning of frost formation in the hilly areas, the Badia regions and the eastern plains.
A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, but it will remain cold across the country and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the JMD added.
Winds will be southwesterly moderate, with frost formation after midnight in the highlands, the desert areas and eastern plains.
