Depression forecast today, snowfall on hilly areas
AMMONNEWS - A depression forecast to affect the Kingdom is expected to cause a in temperatures, bringing rainfalls in the northern and central parts, with a chance for snowfall, namely, on the northern hilly regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said Sunday.
As of tomorrow, a cold air mass and depression, centered over Cyprus, is forecast to start affecting the northern and central regions, with south-westerly moderate winds picking up in the afternoon, the JMD added.
On Tuesday, heavy rainfall is expected in most regions of the Kingdom, with a snowfall and hail on hilly areas. Winds will be westerly brisk with gusts at times.
Temperatures in Amman for the next three days, will range between a high of 8 degrees Celsius and a low of 4 degrees, in the northern regions from 10 dropping down to 1, in the central region it'll register a high of 7 dipping to 6, while in the southern region it'll range between a high of 14 and a low of 2 and in port city of Aqaba it'll register a high of 17 degrees Celsius dropping down to 10 degrees at night.
